Tynedale Agricultural Society was resurrected out of the Tyneside Agricultural Society, which began in the early 1800’s. Tynedale Agricultural Society began in 1982 on the same site as the previous show had been since 1948, Tynedale Park at Corbridge.
There are two information points around the show ground staffed by volunteers from local churches and charities. Buy your Show Catalogues, show Guide and Map with Timetable here, find out what’s on, get directions or ask for help and our wonderful volunteers will happily assist you.
Yes we have over 25 catering vehicles selling a wide range to suit all. We also have a fantastic Street Food Area next to the vintage tractor area, any Information point can direct you there.
The terrain of the show ground can be quite uneven in places so we would recommend wearing suitable footwear as if going for a walk in the country. Even if it isn't raining, we would recommend trainers, wellies or sturdy boots. You will be walking on grass for the duration of the day so please leave your stilettos at home!
The Northumberland County Show always welcomes well behaved dogs – do keep them on a lead please.
Don’t forget your poo bags and dispose of waste.
We have dog watering bowls around the show field outside the main marquees, information points and in the dog show, gun dog scurry arenas and other locations.
However, please come prepared with water, especially on a hot day, in case your dog companion becomes thirsty and needs a drink on the show field.
Please note: for the safety of the public, the show field animals and your dogs themselves :
ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A SHORT LEAD - no dogs will be allowed in any livestock marquee.
NO DOGS ARE TO BE LEFT IN CARS - regular checks will be made to ensure the welfare of your pets.
PARKING IS FREE - AND WE'VE HAD NO QUEUES TO GET INTO THE SHOW SINCE 2015
There are over 10,000 car park spaces available, to the north and east of the showground, and on the south side of Bywell Bridge, just follow Yellow Show signs showing the blue letter P in the square for public parking, to get to the show.
Our 'quick exit' car park is near Stocksfield, on the left hand side only 1/4 mile from Stocksfield, and only an 8 minute walk from the showground. This is the quickest car park to exit from throughout the day.
Blue badge holders will be directed to their area on arrival at the show ground and should have their badges displayed on approach to the shwoground..
Members’ Car Park spaces are limited and cannot be guaranteed after 11am. To benefit from this advanced parking become a member and get great forward parking and easy acess to our members marquee and posh loos, well worth it, and you're supporting Tynedale Agricultural society with their charitable aims too.

We are happy to offer a refund to Carers. Carers must pay full price at the entrance gate then take this to the secretary’s office with proof of them being a carer and complete a ‘Carers Refund Request Form’. From there, the carer will receive the refund of their ticket.
Please note: the person they are caring for does not get a refund.
We welcome every visitor equally regardless of their physical, sensory or mental capacity. We are however, honest about our rural location and the limitation that this can impose.
We aim to provide a quality service within these limitations and continually strive to improve so that as many people as possible can enjoy our one day show.

While every care is taken to accommodate people with disabilities visitors must be aware that the Show is held on agricultural land used for rural activities which is uneven, has slopes and can be slippery when wet. Tynedale Agricultural Society is unable to support visitors in travelling around the show ground but is happy to welcome them and their carers. Toilet facilities are provided for disabled visitors throughout the site and these are sited on the most level ground available.
Have your blue badge on display and you will be directed to the blue badge parking area next to the main entrance.
Yes you can bring a picnic, we have several areas with seating next to our food courts and some quite shaded areas under trees you’re welcome to use.
Yes will will again have a bank with a cash machine facility in 2023. This is situated by the Main Entrance Gate next to our Food Marquee.
We have several marquees on site where you can enjoy Shopping, Tastes of the North our wonderful food marquee, Creative North, Great Northumberland and Marquees for Cattle, Alpacas, Goats, Pigs, Rabbits and Cavies, Poultry and three Bars with marquees.
The show has a strickly 'no smoking on site at all' policy due to the amount of marquees and our fire risk assessment plan. No vaping in any marquees or crowded area please.
