Fancy Dress Competition 2012

Rule Brittania Fancy Dress Competition 2012

To celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this year, the Show is ensuring an amazing day out for all with everything from a themed fancy dress class to commemorative rosettes and prize cards!

In the spirit of the patriotic atmosphere this year, we want to know - are you the spitting double of a royal?

With only a month left until show day, it's time to get thinking about what you're going to come to the show as!

In celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, we have a celebrity guest to judge a one-time-only Fancy Dress competition with the theme 'Rule Britannia'.

We need look-a-likes, household cavalry (but no real horses, please!), Coats of Arms, royal souvenirs, Union Jacks - get out your swords and shields, crown jewels (not literally, ple...ase!).

We need your best Queen outfit (feel free to bring your 'Queen Mother'), corgis (stuffed toys are acceptable!), coronation chicken & the palace itself!

(We, in fact, need more than this but we just can't remember off the top of our heads!)

And we need you all to be in the Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling ring by 12:30 to be judged!

This is a special event which wont be seen again at the show, so get down to the ring in your Queenie glad rags & hand bags for half twelve on show day & let the hilarity - we mean fun, we promise! - ensue!

So get thinking, get dressed & get down to the Cumberland & Westmoreland wrestling ring @ 12:30 on show day! [4th June 2012]

Rule Brittania 'Where's Wally?' Competition 2012

The winner of our 'Where's Wally?' competition is Julie Patrickson from Corbridge!

Congratulations to Julie & her family who won themselves free entry to the show this year and thank you for all your entries.

The Queen, as so many of you correctly identified, is in a purple hat beneath the ice cream van.
