A RECORD 28,200 people turned out in Corbridge on Bank Holiday Monday May 31 for the highlight of the agricultural year, the Northumberland County Show. The sun blazed over Tynedale Park as farmers, traders and entertainers enjoyed another lively day. Entries in both the industrial and agricultural sections were up, and the Forster family from Lowes Fell, Hexham, became the first in the show’s history to win the Champion of Champions accolade for the second time in a row with their Bluefaced Leicester Tup.
